KOCHI: Three children who were forced into beggary and anti-social activities, for the past several months, were rescued by the police and social activists.    The children have been identified as Rejitha, Sivananadan and Ninnu.Two women, Bindhu and Ambili, claiming to be the mothers of the children were found torturing them at the Ernakulam South Railway station.According Vanitha Police SI C Rajam, these children were in a very pathetic condition at the time of rescue, sustaining severe injuries after being brutally beaten every day.  The women consumed alcohol and tortured the children if they did not go for begging. After receiving information about the women and children, Theruvora Paravartha Association members reached South railway station to rescue them.  The activists were attacked with a knife during their attempt.  The activists freed the children with the help of the police and admitted them to Ernakulam Santhwanam Charitable Society.
