Like his rallies in MP, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was seen striking an emotional chord with people while addressing a rally in poll-bound Rajasthan's Churu district on Wednesday.
AICC General Secretary and party in-charge Gurudas Kamat, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and PCC President Dr Chandrabhan also attended the rally at Police line maidan.
Before Rahul Gandhi took to the stage, Gehlot and Dr Chandrabhan lauded Congress and said people in Rajasthan have clearly indicated that they need a Congress government again.
In a bid to slam BJP for spreading fire among communities and inciting anger among common man, Rahul Gandhi recounted Indira Gandhi's assassins -Beant Singh , Stawant Singh , Kehar Singh - who were helpers at home and later killed his grandmother.
"I was very angry with my friends Beant Singh and Satwant Singh. My anger was there for more than 10 years," he said.
After narrating how this tragic incident changed his life, "It takes years for the anger to subside. I could see my story in the faces of Muzaffarnagar riot victims -both Hindus and Muslims - when I visited them few days ago," he further said.
He launched an attack on BJP's communal-based politics saying the party divides people for political benefits, incites anger and the poor, young children have to bear the brunt.
"They killed my grandmother, father and they will kill me too. But I am not afraid," he said.
Taking a dig at BJP's PM candidate, Narendra Modi, he said BJP has only set fire in Muzaffarnagar , Gujarat, UP, Kashmir and will continue to do so.
Attacking BJP further he said that BJP claims of more roads in 5 years was a lie and that Congress has given more roads, employment and also food.
As in other rallies, Rahul Gandhi also advocated land acquisition bill and it's benefits and lauded Gehlot government for power-sector reforms, pension schemes and providing free medicines.
He played out his secular trump card against BJP saying Congress wants to take men, women, children, poor, rich, people of all caste and creed together for India's development.
He said Congress is making industrial corridor in 4 places across India and putting infrastructure in all these places, many factories for which will be set up in Churu. "It will further create employment opportunities, your children will also get jobs, they will go abroad and make India proud," Rahul told youngsters.
He ended the rally speech saying he wants to put an end to the quota system in politics
"Like mobile phones , I want the youth in India to have the political power. Post the 2014 elections, there will be a change in political setup , Cong will do it and other parties will be forced to follow it," he said.
He will now head to Kherdali in Alwar where he is set to deliver his second speech at a public rally on Wednesday.
