London: Actress Rosie Huntington Whiteley says her role in the new Transformers movie has strengthened her relationship with boyfriend Jason Statham because of his immense support during the filming.
The 24-year-old replaced Megan Fox in Transformers: Dark of the Moon and says that her debut Hollywood role was the ultimate test of her romance with Statham, reported Dailystar.
"He's 20 years older than me. He'll kill me for saying it... The whole experience of me doing this role was either gonna make us or break us and it made us," Whiteley said.
"He was like a rock every day. We're very happy. We're in a special happy time in our lives together. We look after each other," she added.
The couple have been dating for more than a year now and there have been speculations that Statham might star in Transformers 4 as 'Sam Witwicky', replacing actor Shia LaBeouf.
