HYDERABAD: In the wake of news reports that the Telangana Congress MPs have attended Parliament session on Wednesday, the MPs who included nine Lok Sabha and one Rajya Sabha member asserted that there was no change in their decision taken by the Telangana Congress steering committee. Talking to Express over phone, Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar said that none of them have attended the Parliament session on Wednesday. Till date, there was no change in the decision taken by the Telangana Congress MPs. “Our intention is not to dethrone the Central government, but to mount pressure on the party leadership to take a favourable decision on Telangana,’’ he claimed.Asked about the Telangana ministers’ decision to attend cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the Karimnagar MP said it was left to their discretion whether to attend official duties or not. The steering committee would again meet shortly to discuss about the future course of action, he added.
