Telangana Congress leaders meet Pranab

HYDERABAD: A delegation of Telangana Congress leaders met Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee at Delhi and sought his intervention for an early resolution to the Telangana conflict.The leaders, who are camping in Delhi as a last ditch effort to persuade the Congress leadership to take a decision in favour of Telangana, met Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday night and explained to him the aftermath of the Sakala Janula Samme.They wanted him to intercede on their behalf with party president Sonia Gandhi for separate statehood.Mukherjee told them he would talk to Sonia Gandhi after Ghulam Nabi Azad submits his report on consultations with representatives of both T and Seemandhra.
