Take steps to free hostages, Government told

BHUBANESWAR: Leader of the NCP Legislature Party (NCPLP) Amar Prasad Satpathy on Sunday urged the State Government to go all out for release of the two hostages __ Italian national Paolo Bosusco and Laximpur MLA Jhina Hikaka abducted by the Maoists.Satpathy said the delay in the release of the hostages has created a sense of insecurity among the people as well as the MLAs. Meanwhile, BJD legislator from Koraput Raghuram Padal on Sunday visited the family of Hikaka. Padal met Hikaka’s wife Kaushalya Majhi and consoled her.Bosusco was abducted with another Italian Claudio Colangelo on March 14. Colangelo was freed on March 25. Hikaka was abducted in Koraput district on March 24.
