Studio owner kidnapped for ransom, one held

TIRUPUR:  A 39-year-old was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping a studio owner for ransom.According to the police, on July 31, two persons — Vimal and Suresh — approached Ramalingam (40) to take pictures at a family function in Dindigul. Ramalingam left with them to Dindigul on the same day. Once in Dindigul, the duo allegedly locked him up in a house and demanded `2 lakh as ransom. However, on Tuesday, when his abductors were drunk, he escaped. Later he filed a complaint with the police. On Wednesday, the police nabbed Suresh (39) and are on the lookout for his accomplice.
