ALUVA: Excise special squad nabbed three students and seized two kilograms of ganja from Pathadipalam area in Kalamassery on Saturday. The accused were students of a school at Rajakumari in Idukki district. They were supplied the narcotic substance by one Kannan, a Rajakumari native. There were reports that ganja mafia was using students to sell the contraband to other agents to evade the attention of the Excise sleuths. The sale of ganja is on the rise among the students. On grilling the students, it was revealed that the students stayed at a flat of their friend in Kochi and were on their way to sell the ganja. Excise Inspector Sadanandan, Preventive Officers V A Jabbar and Shaji Isaac, guards A Vasudevan, S Balu, Dheeru Arackal, Ratheesh and Samuel Issac assisted the CI in the raid.
