New Delhi: A Special Task Force has been formed to investigate the blasts that rocked Assam on Thursday.

Chief Minister Taruun Gogoi says the sketches of suspected terrorists involved in the blasts will be released soon.

Sources in Assam police indicate the involvement of Bangladesh-based terrorists, trained by Bangladesh's military intelligence agency, DGFI.

A little known group the Islamic Security Force - Indian Mujahideen had claimed responsibility for the blasts on Friday.

Meanwhile the All Assam Students Union has called for a 12-hour bandh in the state on Monday.

The Assam cabinet has decided to create a post of police commissioner and declare Guwahati a police district following the deadly terror strikes in the state that has claimed 81 lives so far, official sources said.

The decision was taken at a high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and attended by top army and police officials on Saturday.

The meeting discussed various measures required to strengthen the police administration including creation of the post of police commissioner, the sources said.

It was also decided to strengthen intelligence sharing to prevent recurrence of the such events and also decided to speed up the process of rehabilitation of the victims of the blast.

Condition of at least 20 victims being treated at a army hospital was stated to be critical by the authorities.

Meanwhile, main opposition party in the state, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) today organised a Raj Bhavan Chalo and submitted a memorandum to Governor S C Mathur demanding ouster of the Gogoi government for "totally failing to protect innocent lives".
