BANGALORE: With a request to allow the candidates appearing for competitive exams to get into the Central Armed Services, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will write a letter to the Centre seeking to allow the candidates to take up exams in their regional languages.Mentioning that there is huge potential for candidates from Karnataka, chairman of Staff Selection Committee N K Raghupathy said, “This time, the recruitment is mainly aimed at remote and rural areas. We will request the chief secretary to use machinery to send applications to such candidates. Last year, the commission had called for 52,500 posts of constables of which Karnataka’s quota was 2,815 posts.” The commission will publish the notice in the editions of Employment News between December 3-9.The tests for physical standards will be held in February-March 2012.For details on recruitment, call 9483862010 and 9483862020.
