Special drive to curb traffic violations

The traffic police will take up special drive to control traffic violations. The drive was taken in view of the ongoing Ganesh festival and COP-11 convention and will focus on signal jumping, stop line violation, free-left violation, bus bay violation by RTC buses and autos, mobile phone driving, wrong side driving, triple riding, overloading by autos, no entry time violations and irregular number plate.

The violators would be sent to Traffic Training Institute at Goshamahal in Begumpet for counselling, apart from imposing a fine of `200. The traffic police also conducted a special drive on irregular number plate and vehicle documents in the past few weeks and registered more than 31,000 cases.
