HYDERABAD: The date for commencement of the next Assembly session (likely from December 1) will be finalised in a day or two.Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar reviewed preparations for the conduct of the winter session with the chief secretary, and GAD and finance department officials in his chambers here on Thursday.It is learnt that the Speaker directed the senior officials to take immediate steps to ensure supply of answers by November 25 to the questions already raised by the legislators during the Question Hour and Zero Hour in of the previous sessions.It will be a violation of the members’ right if no information is given on members’ representations in a week’s time.He suggested to the officials to take steps to bring down paper utilisation in the Assembly functioning by 80 percent next year.It is further learnt that Manohar also reviewed misappropriation of Assembly funds with the Accountant-General for necessary action. Meanwhile, speaking to mediapersons at the Secretariat, civil supplies and legislative affairs minister D Sridhar Babu asserted that the The Kiran Kumar-led Congress government was confident of proving its majority in the event of a no-confidence motion moved by the opposition in the House.“We have solid numerical strength in the House and we will face the no-confidence motion, if moved,’’ he remarked.As for the duration of the session, the minister said the duration and the agenda would be finalised at the Business Advisory Committee meeting to be chaired by the speaker
