HYDERABAD: Sleuths of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) probing the alleged fraud by SpeakAsia online survey company, said to be running a ponzi scheme, have learnt that huge amounts of money was diverted by this firm to the accounts of another company based in Holland.Sources associated with the investigation told Express that as they went through the details of the bank transactions of SpeakAsia company, whose headquarters is in Singapore, came across several transactions made to a company in Holland.The money was transferred to the accounts of the company called Actie Index Limited, based in Holland.‘’When we tried to check the website of Actie Index Limited, we could not access it. This company could be connected or even run by the same people who run SpeakAsia,’’ CID sources said.One Harender Kaur is the owner of the company. According to officials, the alleged fraud by the company is to the tune of ` 2,000 crore.The CID has registered cases against SpeakAsia company more than a month ago and had frozen their bank accounts worth Rs 130 crore. The company used to promise huge money for filling its surveys. The CID has sought the help of ministry of corporate affairs, SEBI and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to probe the fraud.‘’Actie Index used to pay people to watch advertisements.We are, however, in the process of gathering more information about this company, its link to SpeakAsia and their transactions,’’ a CID official said.It is alleged that the company has not obtained any licence from the Indian government but went about collecting money from nearly 19 lakh people across the country and over a lakh of people from Andhra Pradesh also invested their hard earned money.The company is said to have already transferred ` 450 crore to Singapore and also to Holland.It is learnt that Harender Kaur also floated other companies under the banner -- Haren Automotives, Haren Auto Parts, Haren Ventures and she claims to be a resident of Singapore and CEO of all these firms.
