Sobha John, accomplices remanded

ALUVA: Varapuzha sex scam accused Sobha John and accomplices were on Friday remanded in judicial custody for 14 days. Sobha John, Abdul Rehman alias Bechu Rehman of Kakkanad and Anilkumar of Kanjirampara, Thiruvananthapuram, were produced before the First Class Judicial Magistrate in Aluva who remanded them in judicial custody.Sobha was seen slightly tired and Bechu Rahman had covered his head and face with a towel.A strong contingent of police was deployed on the court premises. As soon as a police van was seen parking near the court a strong police force moved around the vehicle to misguide the reporters.Suddenly another jeep carrying the accused came at 11 am. Vadakkekara CI George Joseph escorted the accused to the court. Sobha John responded to the query of the reporters with a smile. She did not utter any word when she was whisked away to the court room.It took about 30 minutes to complete the proceedings in the court and the accused were taken out of the court with strong police cordon. Three accused were taken to the sub-jail in Ernakulam.
