The authorities were also in contact with their counterparts in East Godavari, Ganjam Collector Krishan Kumar said.The district administration has also made arrangements for repairing their fishing vessel.Eight excise officials assaultedAs many as eight Excise officials were injured when a group of villagers attacked them at Rajapur village under Pattapur police limits on Tuesday morning.During patrolling on the highway, the officials found two youths on the road.Smelling a rat, they questioned the two who failed to give them satisfactory answers. One of the two youths managed to escape from their clutches towards Rajapur village. He returned with a group of villagers who thrashed the officials and damaged their vehicle.Receiving information, Pattapur Police rushed to the spot and rescued the officials and admitted them to Pattapur hospital.
