KARIMNAGAR: The recruitment examination for sub-inspectors (SI) is facing another trouble. In addition to the chaos on deletion of clause 14 (f), aspirants also have the trouble of choosing between the SI exam and Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission’s (APPSC) lecturer eligibility test. Incidentally, the written test for the posts of lecturers in government degree colleges coincides with the second day of the SI exam -- Aug 14. The APPSC uploaded information about the test in its website long back. Not just the aspirants in zone V (Warangal, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Khammam), even others in the state, who had applied for both the tests, will face problem.According to sources, nearly 50 per cent of the candidates had applied for both tests. The APPSC announced the date for the lecturer eligibility test well in advance while the test for SI recruitment was postponed twice after its announcement following protests on deletion of 14 (f)."I applied for both exams and am not able to decide on which exam should be given priority,” lamented Srinivas Reddy, an aspirant from Karimnagar town. Several candidates have been urging the departments concerned to postpone one of the tests.
