SHRC seeks report on bum game

News reports in the media that students of National Institute of Technology- Warangal played bum game on the campus on Teachers’ Day created a flutter. Generally, students play bum game during birthday celebration and when they secure placements.

Bum game is played in different types. In this, the students are asked to remove their trousers and jump naked. Media reports stated that seniors made the juniors play bum game.

However, NIT director T Srinivasa Rao, speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday, condemned the reports. He said there was no truth in the reports.

“There are no junior students in the visuals shown in the electronic media,” he said, adding that the students responded in the negative when inquired. The director said that the game was played on the campus at the end of the last year and that they had taken action against the students then itself. Parents of the guilty students were informed about the illegal act and even placements were stalled, he said.
