CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has directed a woman to send her two children, who are prevented by the management of CSI Ewarts Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Anna Nagar West from attending classes, to attend the classes tomorrow (December 14).Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar, who gave the oral direction on Tuesday, posted the matter on Thursday (December 15) to report as to whether the school management permitted the children to attend the classes or not.The judge was entertaining a writ petition from Siva Suriya Kumari in TV Nagar in Thirumangalam.According to Kumari, the school was collecting exorbitant fees and at times no receipt was given for the payments made. For the current academic year, she paid more fees  than fixed by the Fee Determination Committee. On Nov 11 this year, she remitted the fees fixed by the committee. And the school management prevented her sons -Vincent Samuel (8th std) and Don David (3rd std) - from entering the school premises. Hence, the present writ petition. When the matter came up today, Additional Government Pleader (Education) P Sanjai Gandhi produced a copy of a notification issued by the Inspector of Matriculation Schools in Tiruvallur, which, citing Right to Free Education Act, stated that no student should be prevented from attending classes on any reason in the middle of the academic year.
