Self-defence camp on Sunday

THIRUVANATHAPURAM: The Shito-Ryu Karate School of India is organising a self-defence camp for women in the city on Sunday.The camp will be held at the Central Stadium from 8 am onwards, chief technical director Vinod Kumar, a sixth degree black belt and coach with  Sports Authority of India (SAI), said."Such camps will help curb attacks on women to an extent and equip women with the physical and mental ability to respond to extreme situations,” Vinod Kumar said.The camp is being conducted to mark the 26th anniversary of the Vanchiyoor class of the Kerala Shito-Ryu Karate Association.
