Science with cartoons: Scientist invited to Europe meet
P K Srivastava will make a presentation on 'scientoons' invented by him in 1988.

Lucknow: A Lucknow-based scientist, who uses cartoons to make complex scientific works easy to understand, has been invited to participate in a European science festival in Spain.

At the festival organised by the European Science Events Association (EUSCEA), P K Srivastava, a senior scientist with the chemical toxicology division of the Central Drugs Research Institute (CDRI), will make a presentation on 'sceintoons' invented by him in 1988.

"Sceintoons are cartoons based on science that make you smile and laugh while providing information about complex science technologies principles and researches," said Srivastava.

He added that 'scientoons' have been included in the syllabi of various universities and institutes.

"My scientoons have been acclaimed by the American Chemical Society, World Health Organisation, Unesco and others," added the scientist.
