Scheme to streamline mining in Orissa

 BHUBANESWAR: The department of Steel and Mines has launched the critical mining online for streamlining the complex mining and allied activity of the State. The programme, i3MS, was initiated on May 25, last year to bring in systematic reforms and re-engineer the prevailing procedure to ensure strict adherence to all mining statutes and rules. As on date, Orissa has 597 lessees and 3,013 licensees in the State which have been given unique codes. Using this code, they can assess the single window at www.orissaminerals.gov.in, wherein they will have to update information pertaining to mining plan.
