SABARIMALA: Travancore Devaswom Board president M Rajagopalan Nair said on Friday that an Andhra helpline desk would be set up at Sannidhanam on December 25.Talking to newsmen at Sannidhanam, Rajagopalan Nair said that catering to the needs of thousands of Sabarimala pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh, the helpline would be manned by a seven-member team from Andhra Pradesh Government.To be set up at Sannidhanam Valiya Nadapndal, the helpline desk would provide necessary information to the pilgrims during the pilgrimage season days, Nair said.A similar helpine desk would be set up at the Secretariat of the Andhara Pradesh Government in Hyderabad by the Kerala Government on December 25.Kirankumar Reddy to lay stone for Andhra Bhavan: Rajagopalan Nair said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kirankumar Reddy would lay the foundation stone for the proposed Andra Bhavan at Nilackal in the last week of January.The Andhra Bhavan would be set up on the five acres of land allotted to Andhra Pradesh Government, he said.Work on the Kunnara dam capacity augmentation soon: Rajagopalan Nair said that the work on the storage capacity augmentation of the Kunnar dam would immediately begin after the report of the Nagpur-based Centre for Earth Science Studies.The work on augmentation of the dam capacity would be sponsored by the Tata Group, he said.Sabarimala Master Plan: Rajagopalan Nair said that the various projects under the Sabarimala Master Plan would be implemented through sponsorships. He said that the general view among the industrialists and sponsors who participated at the meeting held in Hyderabad last week was for the implementation of projects on sponsorship basis. At the meeting held in Chennai, the Chettinad group and GRT group evinced interests in taking up schemes on sponsorship at Sabarimala, he said.
