Jalandhar: Coming from the famous Kapoor family in Bollywood, actor Ranbir Kapoor says he has worked hard to create his own identity in the industry instead of cashing in on his family's stardom.
Ranbir, 29, who started his film career five years ago with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saanwariya, says he is glad that he has made space for himself with his acting skill.
"Whatever I have achieved so far is all due to my hardwork. When I started my career, people used to know me by my family's name but now I am happy I have my own identity now.
"People used to say that I am Neetu and Rishi Kapoor's son and Raj Kapoor's grandson. Now, people know me by the name of Ranbir Kapoor and this is all due to sheer hardwork," said the actor, who was in the city to interact with the students of Lovely Professional University.
Ranbir also said that he puts his heart and mind into every project and that enables him to achieve success. The actor, who will be next seen in Rockstar, also said his parent's blessings has helped him become a star.
