RJD, Congress will campaign separately for Bihar elections: Lalu Prasad
"We will campaign on our own, (Hum alag alag jayenge), " Lalu said and refrained from adding anything more.

Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal are unlikely to hold joint campaign in Bihar in the run up to the assembly elections in the state. When asked if Lalu Prasad will share the dais with Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party vice president Rahul Gandhi, the RJD chief said that they will go different ways.

"We will campaign on our own, (Hum alag alag jayenge), " Lalu said and refrained from adding anything more.

At a mega rally in Patna in August, Sonia, Lalu and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had shared the dais and collectively attacked Narendra Modi claiming that the Prime Minister had failed to fulfil the promises that he had made during the Lok Sabha election campaign in 2014.

However, in her recent rally, Sonia spoke about Nitish Kumar but failed to make a mention of Lalu. Calling Nitish a leader of clean image, she had urged people to vote for the chief minister ministerial of the JDU-RJD-Congress mahagatbandhan.

Even Lalu who was to attend Rahul's rally in Bihar, skipped the event citing his prior commitment to other events.

Sonia and Rahul Gandhi will address a series of rallies in the state ahead of the crucial five-phase assembly elections. While Sonia is scheduled to address nine rallies, Rahul will be holding four rallies.
