Members of the Sri Vittaleshwara Balabhakth Samaj took up this challenge and plan to continue it till the end of the festival.

"We saw this on CNN-IBN, got inspired. So we donated rice to people," said Sai Ram, member.

"To do charity is a noble cause. On this festival we have taken up this charity and donated rice," added Govindraju Maharaj, priest.

The Challenge is catching up with college students as well. The biggest single donation has come from Apoorva Degree College in Karimnagar where 2,000 students donated over 2000 kg of rice.
