The Yuva Kerala Yatra highlighting slogans of secularism and non-violent society, was inaugurated by state Home Minister Chennithala.
Thiruvananthapuram: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is expected to take part in the ongoing 'Yuva Kerala Yatra' led by State Youth Congress President Dean Kuriakose on Monday.
The yatra from Kasargod to Thiruvananthapuram, flagged-off last month, has reached Alappuzha district and it would proceed to nearby Pathanamthitta district on Monday.
"Rahul would join the padyatra tomorrow for sometime," party sources said. He would arrive in Kochi and would proceed to Alappuzha, sources said.
In view of Rahul's visit, security has been tightened in the area, sources said.
