PRP leaders to meet Azad on June 6

HYDERABAD: Praja Rajyam leaders will meet AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad in Delhi on Monday to tell him how best they can be of help to the Congress in its efforts to regain its glory in the state.“Azad wants to have an informal meeting with us. He is likely to elicit our opinion on making the Congress strong in the state,” a PRP leader told Express.Party president Chiranjeevi is already in Delhi and held one round of talks with Azad on Saturday night discussing induction of his party members into the cabinet. According to sources, Chiranjeevi was offered a berth in the Union cabinet, minister of state with independent charge.Both Congress and PRP are awaiting Election Commission’s formal announcement approving of the merger. “The AICC has already written to the Election Commission. We expect the announcement in three or four days,” a source said.
