New Delhi: President Pratibha Patil arrived in the Capital after a week-long two nation tour to Russia and Tajikistan on Tuesday.
During this tour she held wide-ranging talks with top leadership of the two countries on bilateral, regional and global issues.
The President was invited as the chief guest at Tajikistan’s Independence Day celebrations.
During the visit, Patil held talks with her Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon, in which the need for cooperation between India and countries of the region to eliminate terrorism figured prominently.
In Russia, she met Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and reviewed the bilateral ties between the two countries.
