Filmmaker Prakash Jha has shown interest in making the Hindi remake of Tamil superhit 'Ko'.
New Delhi: The tendency of making the Hindi remake of southern hits has gained currency in last some years. The success of films like 'Wanted', 'Bodyguard' and 'Ghazini' has prompted the filmmakers to look for more remake worthy films from the South Indian film industry. The latest director to join the bandwagon of such filmmakers is Prakash Jha, who is likely to direct the Hindi version of Tamil superhit 'Ko'.
As per the media reports, Akshay Kumar has shown interest in the project which was originally headed by the Tamil filmmaker K V Anand. However, the reports suggest that Prakash Jha has plans to rope in Ranbir Kapoor for the lead role in the film.
Jeeva had essayed the central character in Tamil 'Ko'.
