He had also communicated about the same to the PPT authorities.The committee that conducted a probe busted a racket of siphoning medicines involving Majhi and other persons. It was alleged that Majhi had lodged a complaint to mislead the police and PPT authorities. The stolen medicines are yet to be recovered. Since there was no sign of breaking into the hospital, the police investigating the case had also ruled out involvement of outsiders in the theft case. A case has been registered and further investigation is on, said IIC of Paradip police station Anil Mishra.Six Held for Stealing Construction MaterialAbhyachandpur Police have arrested six miscreants for allegedly stealing construction material worth ` 5 lakh from the oil refinery project site of IOCL.The accused, identified as Lalmohan Tarai, Prasant Biswal, Rabindra Samal, Susant Swain, Ashok Mohanty and Gaurang Mohanty, were forwarded to court on Sunday. The police had also seized four motorcycles from them.Reports said about 20 miscreants had drilled a hole on the boundary wall of the plant site.
