THIRUVANANTHAPURAM The State Electricity Regulatory Commission on Wednesday decided that power curbs introduced in the state, including the half-hour cyclical loadshedding, will continue up to May 31 as decided earlier.The Commission reviewed the power position on Wednesday and heard the Kerala State Electricity Board’s side of the matter.Later, it was decided that the half-hour cyclical loadshedding on all LT consumers, the 300-unit monthly limit for domestic consumers and the 10 per cent restrictions on both LT and HT/EHT consumers will remain in place up to May 31. The original demand of the KSEB was to impose restrictions up to June-end. This was not allowed by the Commission. Also, it is expected that the onset of southwest monsoon over Kerala on June 1 will improve hydel power generation.
