'Political Hitman Trying To Save Himself': Swati Maliwal Reacts To Video From Kejriwal's Residence, AAP Hits Back
In the video, Swati Maliwal can be heard arguing with the security personnel at Kejriwal's house.

A video of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal arguing with security personnel inside a room is doing the rounds on social. The video is said to be from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence from the day when Maliwal was allegedly assaulted by Kejriwal’s close aide Bibhav Kumar.

In the video, Maliwal can be heard arguing with the security personnel at Kejriwal’s house. While the men can be heard asking her to leave, she is insisting on not leaving till the police comes. It is being said that the video was shot after Maliwal made the first call to the police to complain against Kumar.

Reacting to the video, Maliwal has said that it does not show the entire incident and has been released without any context as the “political hitman was trying to save himself”. “The truth will be revealed to everyone as soon as the CCTV footage of the house and the room is checked,” Maliwal wrote on X (previously Twitter) after the video started going viral.

“Fall to whatever level you can, God is watching everything. One day everyone’s truth will come out in front of the world,” she added.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) hit back at Maliwal and shared the video with the text, “The truth about Swati Maliwal.”

AAP leader Preeti Sharma Menon accused Maliwal of making “fake allegations.” “The biggest crime on victims of abuse is when opportunistic women misuse laws that are meant for our protection! BJP has taken politics to such a low that almost anyone can be bought or coerced to make fake allegations,” she posted.

‘He Slapped Me 7-8 Times’

Maliwal, on Friday, recorded her statement before a magistrate at Delhi’s Tis Hazari court about the alleged assault on her by Bibhav Kumar. In her complaint to the police, Maliwal said she went to meet the Chief Minister on Monday. After reaching his home office, she tried calling Bibhav and Kejriwal for some work but got no response, so she went to the residential compound.

“I went into the drawing room and sat on the sofa and was waiting for the CM, when suddenly, the PS of the CM, Bibhav Kumar barged into the room. He started screaming at me without any provocation and even started abusing me. I was stunned…and I reacted by telling him to stop talking to me like this and to call the CM,” the MP said in her complaint.

She further said that Kumar started abusing her in Hindi and stood right in front of her and without any provocation, he started slapping her.

“He slapped me seven to eight times at least while I continued screaming…In order to protect me, I pushed him away with my legs. At that time, he pounced on me, brutally dragged me and deliberately pulled my shirt up. My shirt buttons opened and my shirt flew up. I landed on the floor while hitting my head on the centre table…Bhbhav Kumar did not relent and attacked me by kicking me in my chest, stomach and pelvis areas with his leg… I was in extreme pain and kept asking him to stop… I repeatedly told him that I am having my periods and that he should please let go of me as I am in extreme pain,” she added.
