BANGALORE: With a view to speeding up delivery of services related to police verification of citizens, a common form has been made available on Karnataka Police website.The form can be downloaded from www.ksp.gov. in/home/citizen/forms.php or from Bangalore City Police website- www.bcp.gov.in/english/forms-index.htmNow, citizens applying for police clearance certificate or police verification certificate for going abroad, employment purpose, marriage alliance and others need not visit District Police Office or Commissioner of Police office for procuring the form.They can download it from these websites.Similarly, the fees for police verification can be paid at BangaloreOne Centres in Bangalore and similar centres in other districts.“However, this is in addition to the present procedure of paying the fees at treasury branches of the bank. The fees can also be paid from Bangalore-One portal- www.bangaloreone.gov.in by using credit and debit cards. For the payment of fees at BangaloreOne and Dharwad- One centres, Rs 5 extra would be charged. For all other Karnataka-One Centres, an additional Rs 7 will be charged,” stated a press release from the police.“Also, all requests for police verifications will be accepted on police IT network and given a 15-digit GSC acknowledgment number.The documents will be transmitted from DPO/COP to police stations. They will be sent back with recommendations over to police IT network electronically. This will expedite the process of police verifications,” it added.
