HYDERABAD: Cyberabad police raided a late night party at Durgam cheruvu in Madhapur on Saturday night and arrested its organisers and staff for serving liquor and playing music till late in the night causing nuisance to the nearby residents. More than 100 revellers were enjoying themselves in the event when the raid took place.According to Madhapur police, the raid was conducted around 1.40 a.m on Sunday following complaints by locals. Police said events were organised on weekends at Durgam cheruvu after obtaining permission from the police and excise department officials.They are allowed to serve liquor and play music till 11 p.m only. Police stopped the party and arrested two organisers and 14 staff members for violating licence norms. Sources said the organisers were also providing hookah to the revellers and police are investigating whether any banned substances were served there.Cases have been registered and investigation is on.
