New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday asked Trinamool leader and Minister of State for Railways Mukul Roy to visit the accident site of the Guwahati-Puri Express in Assam.

The Prime Minister has pulled up Roy a day after the minister said he was waiting for the Prime Minister's order, and asked him to visit the accident site in Assam.

Giving his clarification, Mukul Roy said, "The Prime Minister is the Minister of the Railways now. We have got three MoS and I am one of them. It is the decision of the Ministry who will visit."

The Trinamool Congress wants to continue with the Railway Ministry portfolio and with the cabinet reshuffle getting delayed, the Trinamool is trying to reinforce its demand.

This order shows that the Prime Minister clearly does not want to appear on a weak footing at the hands of his allies.

The direction came a day after the blast that took place near Rangia in Assam's Kamrup (Rural) district on Sunday evening, PMO sources said.

At least 50 passengers were injured as six coaches of Guwahati-Puri Express derailed following a IED blast that took place near Rangia in Assam's Kamrup (Rural) district on Sunday evening.
