Ploy to keep us off bypolls, claims Nehru

TIRUCHY:  Former minister and DMK strongman K N Nehru on Tuesday said he wasn’t against punishing those guilty in the Kanchana hotel case. But, he denied the charge that he played a role in the land grab case.Addressing journalists here, he claimed that “false cases were being foisted against DMK cadre” to prevent them from working for the upcoming Assembly by-polls in the city.Referring to the complaint filed by Dr Kathirvel, he argued that in the one lodged by the doctor on January 9, 2008, his name was not mentioned.
