THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and the KSRTC employees’ organisations reached a consensus on the wage revision of more than 33,000 employees and an agreement has been signed in this regard with the Transport Minister. Most of the demands raised by the employees’ organisations were accepted by the government. “As per the new agreement, employees’ will get an increase in their salary ranging from Rs 1,662 to Rs 6,149,” said Jose Jacob, leader of left employees organisation. There are 11 salary scales and a decision was taken regarding the salary of employees other than officers who are below gazetted rank. The employees’ organisations also got the assurance that out of the three instalments of dearness allowance pending, one will be paid in July. Apart from Transport Minister Aryadan Mohammed, KSRTC CMD K G Mohanlal, General Manager Venugopal and representatives of KSRTC Employees Association (CITU) and Transport Democratic Front participated in the discussions.
