One more defamation complaint filed against Karunanidhi

Tamil Nadu Government has filed one

more defamation complaint against DMK Chief M Karunanidhi in a

court here for alleged libellous comments about two AIADMK

ministers. The City Public Prosecutor, in his prayer before the

Principal Sessions Judge, also sought prosecution of Editor of

DMK organ 'Murasoli' S Selvam for publishing Karunanidhi's

comments alleging family interference in clearing of files by

the ministers. The Prosecutor submitted Karunanidhi had made the remarks

against ministers K T Pachamal and N R Sivapathy which were

published in the August 23 edition of Murasoli. The Jayalalithaa Government has already filed a spate of

defamation complaints against Karunanidhi, his son M K Stalin

and several newspapers, especially Murasoli.
