Srinagar: A civilian was killed and five injured in a clash with police over the removal of a security camp near the Jammu and Kashmir town of Pattan on Friday.
The clash occurred when people went in a procession near the police camp in Parihaspora in Pattan, 30 km from Srinagar, in the afternoon.
The protesters were demanding removal of a portion of a camp which they said was obstructing the passage to a local shrine.
The dead civilian was identified as Mansoor Ahmed Sofi.
