CHENNAI: Police have arrested Rasapandian (28) for texting obscene messages to his former employer, at Tirumangalam on Wednesday. Sources said the accused sent obscene SMS to his ex-employer Geetha for sacking him from work a couple of months ago. He had been shown the door for stealing data from the company and selling it to rival companies.When the theft was detected by the firm’s employees, they informed the administration. He was warned and let off by the police based on the complaint of Geetha. Later, Rasapandian was sacked, which provoked him to take revenge on Geetha.He shifted his residence and frequently sent obscene SMSes to Geetha.Based on her complaint, Tirumangalam all-women police personnel arrested Rasapandian, who was remanded to Puzhal prison.Chain-snatcher held A 40-year-old man, Balaji, who tried to flee after snatching a three-sovereign gold chain from a woman, M Saranya, at a bus stop was caught by the public and handed over to the Nungambakkam police on Wednesday.
