BANGALORE: The city police have arrested Narayanaswamy alias JCB Narayana, a rowdy allegedly involved in over 28 criminal cases.Narayana, who had allegedly went underground after he was declared a proclaimed offender, was arrested when he was trying to extract money from a person assuring to mediate in a land litigation on Sunday.The police have confiscated his revolver along with cartridges, a car and other lethal weapons. They have also arrested his associate Daniel. However, another associate identified as Bhaskar alias Noor Mohiddin managed to escape. Following a tip off, a police team rounded him up near Parappana Agrahara on Hosur Road. Narayana had come there with his two henchmen for talks.Sensing danger, Narayana fired from his revolver and even tried to attack the police with a chopper. But the policemen overpowered him.Narayana had managed to give slip to the police on many occasions.Once, he had allegedly tried to kill a police officer who went to arrest him. Five murder cases, three attempt to murder, 12 dacoity and eight chain snatching cases have been booked against him. Narayana had recently murdered his rival Praveen, the police added.
