CHENNAI: Following a complaint from parents, notices have been issued to two private schools here for demanding excessive fees, more than the amount fixed by the Committee, said K Devarajan, Director of Matriculation Schools. This follows a protest by parents of St John’s Matriculation, Alwarthirunagar, and Seventh Day Adventist Matriculation HSS, Vepery, on Monday, alleging that the schools were forcing them to pay an amount higher than what was allotted to the schools by the Fee Fixation panel headed by Justice Raviraja Pandian. They had alleged that the wards of those who resisted the move were being ill-treated in school.
