HYDERABAD: TRS MLA T Harish Rao said that if the Congress-led UPA government was not ready to deliver Telangana state, the Congress party may lose its political base in the region and people would intensify the movement to achieve their target. In reaction to the Union Home minister P Chidambaram’s statement on Wednesday that the Centre would call for an all-party meeting again on Telangana, Harish Rao said that there was no need for it as all the parties had already expressed their stand and it was now time for the Centre to make a decision. He said that Congress MPs should also take a decision with sincerity and simply extending deadlines would not help the future of the party.TRS MLA and party leader E Rajendar was of the opinion that a lack of decision on part of the UPA government would strengthen BJP in the region. This was evident from the success of the public meeting held by BJP leader Sushma Swaraj at Karimnagar on Tuesday, he said. “BJP has credibility among the masses as it was the BJP-led NDA government that formed three new states,” he said.
