NIT Director inspects Karaikal unit

KARAIKAL: Sundarrajan, Director of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchy, visited Karaikal and inspected facilities in the college. He is the current mentor of Karaikal NIT, which started functioning last year. Classes are held at the Aringnar Anna Arts College Campus on a temporary basis.Sundararajan inspected the classrooms, laboratories and hostels. He also interacted with the students and staff members.  He said the UT Government is in the process of acquiring about 280 acres of land for a permanent campus for the institute at Poovam in Karaikal. Construction will commence soon. The faculty members of Tiruchy NIT were assisting the Karaikal NIT so far.
