HYDERABAD: Even as the Crime Investigation Department (CID) is hunting for the senior doctor of NIMS, G Sharat Chandra Naga Vara Prasad, for his alleged role in settling land disputes along with factionists, it has come to light that Prasad had made huge money from land settlements, which was invested in various other properties. The CID is now digging up all the investments made by Prasad, who, the investigators believe is very much present in the state.Sources associated with the investigation said Prasad was into settling land disputes along with P Bhanu Kiran, the alleged killer of faction leader Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy alias Maddelacheruvu Suri, for the past several years. “With the money he made from the land settlements, he purchased properties in and around Hyderabad,” sources said.In fact, at least two criminal cases were registered against the doctor in the past. CID officials are, however, confident that it is only a matter of time that they would lay their hands on Prasad. They said Bhanu and Prasad have a long association and are in constant touch with each other.Meanwhile, the CID will be seeking the custody of V Madhu Mohan Reddy, whose arrest on Tuesday, led the sleuths on the trail of Prasad.
