Assam’s National Register of Citizens is being processed for name corrections and other details after the final draft appeared with the names of 2.89 crore out of the 2.39 crore applicants. Atleast, 30 lakh of the more than 40 lakh people left out in the National Register have filed for inclusion under the ‘claims and objection’ process.
