New Avarodham Bhattathiri selected

TRIPUNITHURA: Ranjith Kumar of Morakkala Mana has been selected the new Avarodham Bhattathiri (the person in charge of consecrating chief priest and other priests). This title is given to the senior most male member of Morakkala Mana.Earlier, Morakkala Mana Neelakantan Namboothiri was the Avarodham Bhattathiri. As he died three months ago, his grandson was selected the new Avarodham Bhattathiri jointly by the temple thanthri and temple trustee Vasudevan Valiya Moothathu.
