TIRUCHY: Former Minister K N Nehru appeared before the Judicial Magistrate Court here as per the directions of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court in a case related to the damage of a Thiruvalluvar statue. His lawyer informed the Court about the stay on the order of the Madurai Bench asking Nehru to surrender. After submitting a copy of the SC order, Nehru left the court. The HC on November 3 had directed Nehru, his brother K N Ramajayam and former Deputy Mayor M Anbalagan, to surrender before the JM Court on November 9 in connection with the case related to the damaging of a Thiruvalluvar statue. The SC had ordered a stay on the High Court’s order, following an appeal from Nehru.
