BANGALORE: Following the allegations made by advocate N Vinod against her, danseuse Nandini Alva has said that the former has levelled allegations against her to blackmail her.In a press release, she stated that advocates N Vinod, R Sampath Kumar and Ravi H S had worked with her organisation ALV Projects for the last 3 years.“They were paid regular professional charges for their services. We discontinued their services after giving them six months notice and clearing all compensatory dues.As they were working at my office and had access to the office premises, they stole my pre-signed company cheques not relating to the organisation they were working,” she alleged adding that they were absconding for the last two months.Regarding the allegations, she said, “There has been no written understanding to prove their claim.With criminal intention, they have fraudulently used the stolen property to attempt blackmail. Further, they have breached the basic ethics of a lawyer and client and indulged in a gross and unethical criminal act.” She has also clarified that she had filed an FIR on October 26 lodging a complaint of theft and for the missing cheques.It may be recalled here that Vinod had filed a cheating case against Nandini Alva, her daughter Priyanka Alwa, wife of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, and other persons for not paying dues to the tune of Rs 75 lakh.
