The Categorical Ministerial Staff Association of the Ernakulam RTO office had convened a meeting during office hours at the Ernakulam RTO office by disrupting the day-to-day activities.Through an RTI query it was revealed that the authorities have not taken a single measure till date in this regard. Instead, Ernakulam RTO T J Thomas has justified the action of the staff stating that they have convened a meeting owing to some emergencies.State Transport and Road Safety Commissioner K S Balasubramanian said he sought a report from the District Transport Commissioner (DTC). But P A Sainudeen, the DTC, could not give a proper reply,  he said.On June 14, the MVD officials had sought police help as some Youth Congress activists asked the authorities to stop the meeting.  It was revealed that  instead of taking action, the RTO has written a letter to the Sub-Inspector of Police, Thrikkakara, justifying the action of the staff.
